Wind, Sun, Heat. All the ingredients for a tropical vacation? No, try Enemy #1 for the ravishing of hair. But now your hair has a secret weapon! Sugardaddy’s Salon! We have expanded our range of treatments that gives the integrity of your hair a powerful ally!
First on the menu is the spacey option for hair that is literally breaking off. Created by NASA for L’Oreal, this treatment goes into the hair shaft and then actually SHATTER’S forming a ‘net’ on the inside stopping the hair from breaking off. When used alone this stops the breakage for 20 day’s, and when used with the At Home maintenance masque it adds another 20 days to its life span. Basically giving the hair time to grow out to have that affected area trimmed off. This little life saver is called Fiberceutics. The treatment by itself is $45.00 and the masque another $30.00. Less than $2.00 a day to save you from having to cut all that damage off at once!
Next up, this new gem expands the life of your color service almost stopping fading in its track. This treatment applied right after your INOA color service goes into the hair shaft right and actually surrounds each individual color molecule that you just invested in making its diameter too large to slip back out. This again comes from L’Oeal and it’s called Crystalceutics. This treatment is priced at only $25.00, but the constant compliments on your shiny healthy hair is priceless.
Next up is the Mythic Luxury shampoo and conditioning treatment. Customizable oils targeted for your exact hair type will treat your locks to moisture and condition that you haven’t felt before. For 15 minutes your hair is treated to moisture enriched shampooing, and tension releasing scalp massage before you sit under the heat for deeper penetration. This gift to your hair is only $25.00 and can be done before a haircut service or even on its own during a lunch break.
This group of hair saver’s is the newest expansion of our treatment services, taking their place next to power doses, cataplasme organic conditioning treatment, and the big daddy of the group, Bumble and bumble’s Pro Treatment.

SUGARDADDY’S SALON IS MOVING!!!!

The time has come, as of Dec 1st 2012, give or take a day, the new home of Sugardaddy’s Salon will be 109 Sidney Ave. It is literally just down the street from where we are now, with the entrance being on the Sidney side. This 2500 sq ft facility is being gutted and redone only like Sugardaddy’s can do it. Natural lighting along with views of the water, we will be fusing old school with new! We are modeling it after Bumble and bumble NYC with our own flair. Bigger roomier seat’s, maestro hair color processing hoods so color will be a relaxing experience and not hot air blasting your face.
Coming off our private training with Bumble and bumble NYC, we are ready to rock you even harder, with every consultation being tailored JUST FOR YOU!!
PLUS we would like to welcome Lesley Hirter to our family. She will be heading up Sugardaddy’s new esthetician dept. where we will be offering every range of waxing plus facials. All done the only way Sugardaddy’s can!
We are grateful you have given us this opportunity cause without you none of this would be possible. This is our thank you to you!
Sadly, we will not be offering nail services for the time being, but that may change. We wish Jane, Kaci and Pricilla the best of journeys and we will always recommend them highly!
All in all it’s been quite a year, lots of changes, but like we always say, “men plan, God laugh’s” and we will always be there ready for the ride, cause it’s been a hell of a ride so far!

It’s a bittersweet symphony……

Change comes quick in this industry, from all aspect’s.
First off I am so proud to announce we WILL be expanding in the fall!! Thanks to our talented staff, loyal client’s, amazing color by AVEDA, and the tutelage of Bumble & bumble NYC, which includes their product line, education, and philosophy ( They now have our staff hosting “how to” demo’s at the big Sephora’s) this expansion is no ‘one man’s effort’s’ but the whole damn village. So stay tuned, but this growth I dedicate to you, for you.
The addition to our staff includes our new GM Lisa Chavez, the lube to our machine. Then there is Fiona Fitzpatrick, designer, who blessedly came to us from top salons in Silverdale and Gig Harbor. Jennie, who graduated from our apprenticeship program is now kicking some serious arse as one of our other talented designers. Rachal and Talica are our latest apprentice’s that we are really excited about! I am quite the lucky man, Thank You Universe! In the fall the entire design staff will be heading to New York to be trained exclusively at Bumble and bumble! Top THAT!
But the universe does require balance. Some of these changes are not for everybody and some of the girls have chosen to nurture their career at another salon. We respect and understand their choice. Mckenzie, Kristin and Tiffany will be at Maxwell Salon in Silverdale. For those who wish to follow are more than welcome to call us and we can give you the salon’s number. And for those of you who wish to stay, Thank you.
On that note, I would like to talk about one of the girls leaving, Mckenzie. We are so proud of her, her growth both professionally and personally. She was my first assistant and it has been a pleasure and honor watching her transformation. As a salon parent you never want to see your children go, but sometimes they must. Sometimes they have to leave home to realize they were at home already. I honestly do hope this is the case, but if not, I hope I was able to give her the tools to create success in any place she chooses to be. We will miss you kid, Godspeed and check in with us once awhile, will ya? YOU ARE SO LOVED HERE!!!! Thank you.

New faces/ New attitudes:

First we would like to welcome Fiona to our family. She comes to us from top salons in Silverdale. Trained by Toni and Guy in the art of haircutting as well as Aveda color, this kid is a star! And how lucky are we she chose us!
Secondly the switchover to Aveda haircolor has been amazing, the tools available have really sparked the artist’s in us and we are super excited to be able to bring this advanced color line to you!
Third, Bumble and Bumble has been flying out the door. Again it is a dream to work with and delivers everything it promises. If your looking to take your style to the next level, this is the home product line that will get you there, guaranteed!
We are excited to be going to New York to Bumble and Bumble University to learn even more ways to deliver the quality you expect from us and then some!
June 22 we are proud to host Jamie Nova for our Relay for Life benefit! $10 at the door, with donation microbrew garden and ton’s of raffles, our aim is to raise as much as we can for Relay! If you have never heard Jamie Nova (witchburn) sing, it is an experience and I highly recommend you do. I have very rarely run across voices like her’s! Hope to see you there, more info is on our facebook page.

Premiering @ Sugardaddy’s: Aveda color

As of April 27th, 2012, Sugardaddy’s will be exclusively carrying the Aveda color line. We are excited about the new change, and the ability to harness the artist in us at it’s fullest with this line. 98% all natural, Aveda respect’s the integrity and health of the hair while delivering amazing result’s. We hope your as excited as we are with this change, if not, after one color service, you too will be a believer.

When Bumbling is a good thing….

As of March 20th, Sugardaddy’s Salon became Kitsap’s exclusive Bumble and Bumble authorized salon!
And here’s the real meat on the bone reason. Bumble and Bumble freakin’ rock’s. At this point in my 27 year’s, this has been the best product line out there. For me not to bring it in would of been a disservice to you, our client. First they headhunted us, saying they have been watching us for awhile now (all the way from New York, cool!) and their product and our salon was the perfect marriage. It’s Funky, we’re funky, it deliver’s skills beyond all hope, we deliver skills beyond all hope, It come’s from the pulse of fashion New York City, we constantly get compared to fashionable New York City salon’s. I really could go on and on. Between you and I cause we are friend’s, it was the being headhunted and “watched” that really got their foot in the door. Yes I have a ego, sue me.
But you won’t, you will praise my decision getting this product in, whatever the reason. I can with all authority and good conscious write this next sentence. Bumble and Bumble is the poop. From product’s that do what they say, techniques for hair that will ensure keeping us on the cutting edge for whats next and hot, to continuing education in NYC, I am tickled to start this dialogue with you about this company. I am so grateful we have it and able to bring it to you! Soon you will even have a link from our very own website that you can order it from home in case you can’t get in or you have moved and can’t find it….I told you it’s exclusive, lol.
This June they are sending Tim and I to NYC to the House of Bumble for education (can’t wait to bring that back to you) and soon the amazing staff of Sugardaddy’s will all be going.
Whew, it’s been a long winter, and B&B is going to make this an explosion into spring.

The re: BIRTH of Sugardaddy’s

WOW, what a difference just a year makes! It started in March when Tim and I took the L’Oreal strictly business course in New Jersey. After being frustrated sitting on the tarmac at LaGuardia for 3 hours waiting to come home I remember saying “this better have been worth it” and boy has it been.

In less than a 6 months we have: restructured the salon incorporating employees with self sustaining leasers, created department heads, implemented a paid apprentice program, brought in kick-butt employee health care, and created a tiered pricing structure that fits everyones budget.

I was sad seeing people not coming in just because of the all too real recession and budgets. Now, with tiered pricing, a quality woman’s cut starts off at only $20 with a Level 1 designer. Choose higher levels if you have more challenges or to get a solid hair maintenance plan in place. The Level system goes up to Level 6.

We now offer full make up services and retail from Mirbella, L’Oreal’s exclusive mineral make up line. We have also added amazing one of a kind hand made jewelry by Tart as well as hair and home accessories by Spineless Clothing Company. Also, we are now open 7 days a week and evenings.

The response has been over the top! What has all this change meant so far? Well, we were incredibly humbled to receive 2nd place out of 671 nominated salons for “BEST HAIR SALON in WESTERN WASHINGTON” in King5 Evening Magazine “Best of”. We also received 8th for BEST in HAIR COLOR (we love you INOA!) and 13th for BEST MANICURES and PEDICURES! We are so grateful and tickled pink by this accolade.

We are now working on our first television commercial as well as the revamp/relaunch of this website that will be ever-evolving. From online gift certificates to “how-to” videos of styling and maintenance tips from our incredible stylists, we are hoping you are able to incorporate the site into your everyday life.

Be sure to take note of our “thank you’s” with out you and all of them we would be nothing.

Molly Ringwald Still Rules the World!

We all know most of our fashion is dictated thru what we see going on with kids on the street and what Europe is doing. Which is why we travel to Europe so much, so our clients will be “in the know” before the look explodes on this continent. We don’t want you to just follow a trend… we want you at the forefront. We did it again! Whats going on in fashion is…

It’s a Jon Hughes world and Molly Ringwald is Queen. Yes, the eighties are back faster than a black camero! and behind the wheel you will find an asymetrical, permed, vibrant redhead with her denim jean skirt on. The darker CBGB phase we are seeing now will be slowly yielding a colorful pallette of both tropical and neon. Cool club chic will break into that eighties individuality and innocence that made that era what it was. Hold on to your seat, I have even witnessed and been asked to give….rat tails. You remember those don’t you? You know what, it was fun to do… not the feeling I thought I would have felt, but it all feels new again. Bi-levels? H-U-G-E in Europe, even on the men. All you have to do is look at any soccer player on Manchester United (the team that brought us David Beckham) I gotta tell you, when they’re not chasing balls these dude’s know fashion!

So there you go, all our hard work researching Edinburgh, Manchester, London, and Amsterdam have paid off! Your now in the know, and won’t be surprised when you see that 3 tiered denim skirt parading down the runway. In fact, thanks to us, you might have already have your own in your closet!
